Who it is for

For those who train and want to give their muscles the protein they need to grow and be maintained. But also for anyone who, between quick breakfasts and meals away from home, struggles to reach their daily protein intake.

It is also a practical solution if you are cutting down on meat and consume milk and dairy products: one dose adds 26.1 g of protein to your day, with all nine essential amino acids.

The vanilla flavour is delicate and free from sweeteners. You can prepare it with water or a plant-based drink: a simple way to supplement your protein, at breakfast or after training.

What it offers

Training, nutrition and rest work together. Ultra Amino Whey provides protein for muscle mass and B vitamins that contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Feeding the muscles you train

Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass and to the maintenance of muscle mass. One dose provides 26.1 g of protein, with all nine essential amino acids: the components the body must obtain from food to build its own proteins. A practical help in covering your protein intake, together with an appropriate diet and physical activity.

When tiredness sets in

Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The formula provides them together with protein, in a single preparation.

Using the energy in food

B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, biotin and B12 contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism. They take part in the processes by which the body obtains and uses energy from nutrients. Vitamin B6 also contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism.

Nervous system and psychological function

B1, B2, B3, B6, biotin and B12 contribute to normal functioning of the nervous system. B1, B3, B6, B9, biotin and B12 also contribute to normal psychological function: functions that accompany the physical and mental activities of the day.

Formula and quality

Isolated protein from grass-fed milk

The whey comes from the milk of pasture-raised cows, with raw material traceable back to the farm. Free-flow microfiltration separates the proteins through membranes, at a controlled temperature. The result is an isolated protein: 87 g of protein per 100 g of product, with a low proportion of fat and sugars.

Essential amino acids from plant fermentation

Whey already contains all nine essential amino acids. Swiss Natural Med adds a selection from plant fermentation to increase their share in the formula: leucine, lysine, histidine, valine, isoleucine and threonine. The label declares 16.197 g of total EAAs per dose, included in the protein.

Eight B vitamins in a food matrix

The B vitamin complex is obtained through fermentation on plant substrates. The vitamins are incorporated into a food matrix: a feature of the raw material chosen by Swiss Natural Med. Each dose provides 100% of the nutrient reference value for B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, folate, biotin and B12.

Natural vanilla, no sweeteners

The formula contains natural vanilla flavouring, with no sweeteners of any kind. It contains no artificial colourings or flavourings and no added enzymes. The taste stays delicate, as reviews also mention.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

A few practical questions.

Is it only for gym-goers?

No. Protein contributes both to a growth in muscle mass and to the maintenance of muscle mass. Ultra Amino Whey can be useful for those who train, but also for anyone who wants to supplement the protein intake of their meals.

It is also suitable for those cutting down on meat who still consume milk and dairy products.

When is the best time to take it?

You can have it at breakfast, during a break or after training. What counts is your overall protein intake for the day, together with a varied diet.

The recommended dose is 30 g, equal to 3 scoops, in 250 ml of water or a plant-based drink. Once dissolved, consume it during the day.

What does it taste like without sweeteners?

It has a natural vanilla flavouring and a delicate taste, without the intense sweetness typical of sweetened protein powders. In the reviews, some people say they also use it in their morning oats or in smoothies.

The plant-based drink you use to prepare it can change its taste.

Does it dissolve easily?

Yes, the formula is designed to dissolve quickly. Pour 250 ml of water or a plant-based drink into the shaker, add 3 scoops and shake well.

Why add amino acids to a protein that is already complete?

Whey already provides all nine essential amino acids. The Swiss Natural Med formula adds six EAAs from plant fermentation to increase the share of essential amino acids in the total protein.

The EAAs declared in the table include both those from the whey and those added: they should not be added to the 26.1 g of protein.

What does grass-fed mean?

It means the milk comes from pasture-raised cows fed mainly on grass. For Swiss Natural Med it is a choice linked to the origin and traceability of the raw material back to the farm.

How are the proteins isolated and dried?

Free-flow microfiltration separates the whey fractions through membranes, at a controlled temperature. The raw material is then turned into powder by spray drying: the liquid is sprayed into small droplets that dry quickly.

The process is chosen to obtain a high-quality isolated protein, with a low fat and sugar content.

What do protein quality and DIAAS mean?

The quality of a protein depends on its essential amino acid profile and their digestibility. DIAAS is an index that takes precisely these aspects into account; biological value is another indicator of how the body uses protein.

Ultra Amino Whey combines a complete milk protein with added essential amino acids. The profile per dose is shown in the composition table.

What does PRAL indicate?

PRAL is an estimate of a food’s potential renal acid load, calculated from its composition. The Swiss Natural Med formulation rationale reports a slightly negative value for the complete Ultra Amino Whey formula.

It is a compositional parameter: it does not measure blood pH.

Why are there B vitamins too?

B vitamins take part in several functions linked to the use of nutrients: B6 in protein and glycogen metabolism, folate in amino acid synthesis, other B vitamins in energy metabolism.

The dose provides 100% NRV of all eight: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, folate, biotin and B12.

What does “vitamins in a food matrix” mean?

The complex comes from fermentation on plant substrates. The vitamins are incorporated into the food matrix of the raw material, which contributes to their stability. It is one of the formulation choices made by Swiss Natural Med.

Does it contain lactose?

Proteins isolated by microfiltration have a very low residual lactose content. The product contains milk and is not presented as lactose-free.

If you have an intolerance, ask the team for the specific figure for the raw material to assess whether it suits your sensitivity. A milk allergy is different from lactose intolerance: the product is not suitable for people allergic to milk.

Is it suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

It is suitable for vegetarians who consume milk and dairy products. It is not vegan: the main protein comes from milk whey, even though the added amino acids and the B vitamin matrix come from fermentation on plant substrates.

Which allergens does it contain?

It contains MILK and SOYA. Soya is present as lecithin in the whey proteins. Do not use if you are allergic to these ingredients.

The formula is gluten-free.

How many calories and how much sugar are in one dose?

One 30 g dose provides 109.1 kcal, 26.1 g of protein, 0.38 g of fat and 0.32 g of carbohydrates, of which 0.22 g sugars. It contains no sweeteners.

These values refer to the powder: any drinks or other foods you add change the values of the preparation.

How long does the pouch last?

The 500 g pack contains 16 full 30 g doses, plus 20 g left over. At the recommended dose it lasts about 16 days.

The price is CHF 59.00, equal to about CHF 3.54 per 30 g of powder.

Are there any warnings I should know about?

Do not use during pregnancy or in children, or for prolonged periods, without consulting a doctor. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Contains milk and soya.

You’ll find the full warnings and storage instructions in the How to use section.

How should I store it?

Keep the pouch tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from light and sources of heat. Observe the best-before date and keep it out of the reach of children under three.
